City of Richmond Owned Properties

In accordance with City Code Section 8-56 the City is to maintain a searchable list of all City-owned property on the City’s website.

The sale of City-owned property is regulated by the City Code. In accordance with City Code Section 8-61 the City shall provide City Council with a Biennial Real Estate Strategies Plan consisting of recommendations for the sale and disposition of those parcels that the City has determined are no longer needed for municipal or public purposes. The City is in the process of obtaining City Council approval of the proposed Biennial Real Estate Strategies Plan which will be posted here once it has been approved. In accordance with City Code Section 8-58 City Council may not act on an ordinance to convey a City-owned property to an offer or until the City has first either Solicited Offers by Invitation for Bids (City Code Section 8-61) or Solicited Offers by Request for Proposals (City Code Section 8-62) and evaluated those proposals in accordance with City Code Section 8-63.
