Public Information Advisory - October 27, 2020 Special Meeting

WHAT:  Richmond City Council will hold a special meeting to consider ORD. 2020-231, to create a new reservation of fund balance called the 2020 Unfunded Other Post-Employment Benefits Liability Reserve, intended to be categorized as an assigned fund balance and used to fund the trust created by Ord. 2018-196, § 1, adopted Jul. 23, 2018, to provide other post-employment benefits to individuals who have terminated their service to the City and to the beneficiaries of such individuals; and RES. 2020-R059, to make assignments of the calculated general fund surplus for Fiscal Year 2019-2020.

WHEN:  Tuesday, October 27, 2020 
               2:00 p.m.

WHERE:  This meeting will be held through electronic communication means pursuant to and in compliance with Ordinance No. 2020-093, adopted April 9, 2020, as amended by Ordinance No. 2020-183, adopted August 20, 2020. This meeting will be open to participation through electronic communication means by the public and closed to in-person participation by the public. Less than a quorum of Richmond City Council will assemble for this meeting in the Council Chamber on the 2nd floor of City Hall at 900 East Broad Street in Richmond, Virginia 23219, and most Council members and other staff will participate by teleconference/videoconference via Microsoft Teams.

Public Information Advisory - October 20, 2020 Special Meeting

WHAT:  Richmond City Council will hold a special meeting to introduce legislation related to assignment of Fiscal Year 2020 Surplus Funds and hold a closed meeting pursuant to section 2.2-3711(A)(7) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act to discuss pending litigation related to monument removal.

WHEN: Tuesday, October 20, 2020* 
              1:00 p.m.

*The regularly scheduled Land Use, Housing and Transportation Standing Committee meeting, scheduled for the same date and time, will take place at the conclusion of the special meeting.

In order to be considered for appointment to one of the vacancies listed on the Clerk's blog, please submit your application by December 15, 2020, to the Office of the City Clerk. 

To be considered for appointment to one of the vacancies on the Task Force on the Establishment of a Civilian Review Board, please submit your application by December 15, 2020.
