Animal Care & Control
What we do
Richmond Animal Care & Control (RACC) is the City of Richmond’s only open-admission public animal shelter, providing humane care to more than 3,000 stray, sick, injured, and relinquished pets each year. Our team also enforces animal laws, investigates cruelty, and works to keep pets with their families whenever possible.
