The City of Richmond announces that Marshall Plaza will be closed today, Dec. 9, 2025, due to unexpected HVAC system issues. During this closure, Department of Social Services (DSS) services will remain available and will expand as needed at the Southside Community Services Center to ensure residents continue to receive uninterrupted support.

While crews are working to restore building operations at Marshall Plaza, DSS staff located at Marshall Plaza are preparing for a move to a new location at the end of the month. Additional updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
