Blackwell Community Center is located in the south side of the city. Interior amenities include a gymnasium, computer lab, kitchen, multi-purpose room, fitness area, meeting room and a games area. Outdoor features are a regulation size football and soccer field, swimming pool, tot lot, basketball and tennis courts and a softball field.

Recreation programs and classes in the areas of cultural arts, after school fun club, sports, dance, summer camp, crafts, sewing, drop in programs, self-improvement, computers, games, martial arts, music, do-it-yourself instruction and special events are among the activities offered here.
