The City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities (DPU) is replacing deteriorated sewer mains which are at risk of imminent failure and reinstating associated sewer service laterals in the alley along the 2100 block of Barton Avenue and North Avenue. Work also includes gas relocation which is currently ongoing as well as above ground water bypass operations. The total scope of work will require shutdown of the alley between E. Roberts Street and E. Battery Street.
