Project Milestones
Mayo Bridge – From VDOT on June 20, 2023
The current actives are as follows:
- Architectural and Historical surveys are taking place Summer 2023
- The procurement of a consultant who will perform a geotechnical/structural study of the existing piers is finalizing, and expect them to be on site Summer 2023
Next immediate actives are as follows:
- Procurement of the consultant (same as above) to complete the conceptual concepts/PFI level work including the first public involvement (10% level) anticipated to be Summer 2023
- Initial public involvement anticipated to be Fall 2023
Future actives (long term, major milestones) are as follows:
- UDC Conceptual Meeting and finalize project scoping anticipated early 2024
- Public Hearing anticipated to be mid 2024
- DB Procurement anticipated to be late 2024
- Construction Start anticipated to be 2025 for approximately 3 years
Mayo Bridge – From VDOT on August 28, 2023
The current actives are as follows:
- Architectural and Historical surveys are complete, though follow-up may be necessary once the report is reviewed
- Geotechnical survey of the bridge sub-structure is underway
- Sub-structure analysis and validation underway
- HAZMAT survey of the bridge utilities late September
- Procurement of the consultant (same as sub-structure analysis) to complete the conceptual concepts/PFI level work including the first public involvement (10% level) anticipated to be Fall 2023
- Initial public involvement anticipated to be late 2023 or early 2024
Future actives (long term, major milestones) are as follows:
- UDC Conceptual Meeting and finalize project scoping anticipated mid 2024
- Public Hearing anticipated to be late 2024
- DB Procurement anticipated to be 2025
- Construction Start anticipated to be 2026 for approximately 3 years
