OCTOBER 23: Voter Registration Deadline
Today is the last day to register to vote or update your registration before the November 3, 2026 General and Special Elections.
The City of Richmond Office of Elections will accept in-person voter registration applications until 5:00 p.m. today, Friday, October 23.
Can't make it to our office before 5:00 p.m.?
You can still submit your voter registration application online through the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen Portal until 11:59 p.m. tonight.

Eligible voters who miss today's deadline may still register and vote through Virginia's Same Day Registration process during early voting or on Election Day. Same Day Registration requires voting a provisional ballot.
