Financial Reports

Below are a wide array of financial reports published by or on the behalf of the City of Richmond's Department of Finance.

These reports are intended to provide informative and relevant financial data to the residents of the City, the City Council, investors, creditors, and any other interested reader. They include all statements and disclosures necessary for the reader to obtain a thorough understanding of the City’s financial activities. The reader should pay particular attention to the required Management’s Discussion and Analyses – narrative overviews and analyses of the financial statements – included in these documents. The financial statements included in these reports conform to the accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (GAAP) established by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).

Note: In October 2021 the report was renamed the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). For more information please see the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Media Advisory.

These reports serve as Executive Summaries of the above Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR) for the residents of the City of Richmond.
