Yearly award winners

Each year, the Richmond Department of Emergency Communications selects one Emergency Communications Officer and one supervisor who have exhibited exceptional work throughout that year to support the department's mission, vision and values. Congratulations to each of the winners.


2022: Because of the challenges of the lingering effects of COVID-19, civil unrest, staffing shortages and the addition of 911 system changes, all ECOs and operations supervisors were honored as ECO of the Year and Supervisor of the Year for 2022. Photos here.
